We were very excited for our first PwnTillDawn event in Switzerland, being the city were our headquarter is located. The atmosphere in the location was fantastic and everything was ready for a 12 hours marathon of hacking.
After all the participants arrived and a brief explanation of the rules, the competition took off and from the very beginning we knew that the skill level of the players was very high.
After an initial phase of reconnaissance, where the participants studied the network environment and the target machines, the first flags started to be captured. For the entire afternoon, a big fight was taking place between the top 5 players in the scoreboard. Every flag taken was triggering the other contestants to to more, to do better.
Than the hour of the competition arrived…and we hid the scoreboard to the participants. They knew that this was their last change of getting points to try to win the competition, and everybody was in for the fight…but only one could win!!
Congratulation to SuperN00b for reaching the first place!!! Astounding performance! Well done also to Tartofraise and Resort for securing the 2nd and 3rd place!
